I've moved!  Thanks to everyone who helped me.  I really appreciate it, because moving is one of the seven major traumas of life.  It went pretty smoothly, but I know that everyone got a workout, myself included.  I'm pretty sore.  And now I just have to unpack!  Sigh.  But so far I've just been too tired to do much of anything.  Tomorrow I'll be  cleaning the old place, continuing my exhaustion, but it will all be worth it in the end.  

So, I think I said the next step in Project Purge would involve computers.  And yes, I have taken the first step towards a single computer...I bought a MacBook Pro with the Intel Core Duo processor.  Very exciting!  Yes, I shelled out a whole hunka change for it (although it's refurbished, so not as much as you might think), but I think it will be worth it. And I'm already having fun with th huge-ass monitor and Photobooth.

But how does buying more stuff fit in with Project Purge?  Well, I'll be able to put Windows on it too and not lose any of my PC-only programs, allowing me to get rid of both the PC laptop I have and the desktop and monitor. But I can also get rid of my 7 year old iMac, and just have this single, sleek machine.  It'll take a while to get everything together, but I like just having this machine.

Next step, moving.  That's happening this weekend!  I didn't get to purge much while packing, but I'm hoping the unpacking will be successful.

I'm watching it now!  Actually, it's half time, and finally *that* was a half time show.  Prince is a god.

Other than that, I've been packing packing packing. I disassembled all my tv-related equiptment except for the TiVo, and now I'm trying to finish up on the books.  There's stuff everywhere and it's pretty much a disaster area, but on it goes.

BTW, but not surprisingly, I haven't seen any commercials yet worth mentioning.
