I was tossing and turning all night with a sore throat and, I suspect, a low fever.  I have no idea where this came from. But when I called in sick my coworker said it was going around. I had no idea! Of course when I said I didn't even know it was going around, it may have sounded like I was making it up.  But I'm not. Glands are swollen, throat is sore, and I'm very tired.  If I weren't sick, I might be getting something done right now.

Why else would my nose be running constantly since I got home from work? The problem is I don't know what it is.  Is it coming from outside, blowing in my windows? Is it inside?  All I ask is that I'm not allergic to dust. I just don't have time for that.

So I've been kinda sick for most of the weekend and haven't done a whole lot, but I got a whole lotta sleep! 

On Friday, I went a Mexican pizza-popcorn-movie night on Friday and watched Winter Sleepers.  It was an interesting movie, but the ending left me somewhat dissatisfied (I won't give it away.) After an evening of homemade pizzas, Wisconsin popcorn and playing with kittenss, I went home.

And I slept and slept and slept, for a good 12 hours (being kinda sick and all).  I had been fighting it off all week and it was wiping me out.  There were times I felt I was going to fall asleep at my desk. So I was very happy to get some rest.  But apparently it was not enough. 

After a day of rest on Saturday, skipping Friday Night Waltz, I went to a friend's BBQ on Sunday, which also was very fun.  But sleep is the theme of the weekend, and today I actually slept for a full 15 and a half hours! I woke up many, many times, and could've gotten up each of those times, but something told me to keep still and soon a few more hours would pass.  I can't even believe it's already after 5:00. I still need to do laundry, and clean up a bit, but it feels good to have gotten so much rest.  While I still have a scratchy throat, I feel a lot better.
